Saw horses are of those little thought about items that you don't seem to miss until you need one. I have an old pair of the "A" frame type sitting in my stoop for almost 20 years now, I didn't make them but they sure come in handy from time to time, despite all the room they take up, because they don't "stack".

They are well worn, paint splattered, wobbly and not all that well made, but they have lasted a long time despite all that, but time to upgrade them ...

The version of sawhorse I liked is what many call the James Krenov type, I am not sure where they emerged from, I believe they originated from Asia, but I do know that James Krenov certainly had a hand in making them popular with modern day woodworkers and furniture makers. I really like the way the top is easily replaceable if and when it gets too many saw cuts, gouges or misplace router "notches". I also like how easy they are to store and the way they nest together.

They take up very little room when not in use. I also like the height, I tended to make mine a bit on the higher side on purpose, less bending over mean more, easier work can be done on them by me.
they were fun to make and I'm looking forward to a good long life from them ...
