These little Splayed Leg Tables and one to the most versatile tables I have made. Everyone loves them and there are a multitude of places they are handy, both permanently and temporarily.
I quereied a few woodworkers I am in conversation with and asked them if they had ever made one of these table and surprisingly to me, none had and most thought the joinery, that is connecting the legs and an angle would be problematic for them, when I asked how they might go about it, most had quite complicated ideas of how to make these tables when it really is quite simple.

Easily the longest build I have ever tackled, the Breaking Bad Coffee Table build. Inspired by a coffee table I saw during the TV series (5 seasons). I needed to re-watch all the episodes (62) AND take picture off the TV, in order to get the grasp of exactly how this table looked.
THEN ... from those pictures, try to reconstruct size, with dimensions and details of the build.
After the first few episodes I decided it would be best to build a model of what I had seen so far ...

Working with exotic woods can be expensive ... IF they are even available. One of the solutions to this is coloring your wood to simulate an exotic wood, and to try and get the color match as close as you can, and that's what I am doing today.
I have used aniline dyes in the past to simulate Ebony wood, which is often hard to get, and the last time I checked it was in the $150+ per board foot, one of the most expensive wood, but if you want a pure black colored wood, that is what it is.2

A few days ago I received a memo from YouTube, "Happy 17th Birthday" it proclaimed. Wow, have I really been creating content for 17 years now and I still have so much more to do. Only last week, I forgot to charge the batteries on my wireless microphone, not problem, I can use the back-up mic.
Sadly, after looking all over for almost 30 minutes and not finding it, I came to the realization I needed to make a "Media Cabinet" to keep all my cords, cables, microphones, cameras, batteries, chargers and more all in ONE PLACE.
