The Susquehanna Trail Woodworkers Guild was formed in April 2004.  The first official meeting was called to order by our founder, Ray Parsons.  Woodworkers were rounded up with the hope of building a strong organization.

The Sunflower Woodworker's Guild was established in Wichita in 1991. The purpose of the Guild is to build woodworking skills through the sharing of knowledge, and the promotion of our local woodworking community. We welcome all skill levels from beginners to professionals. Wichita, Kansas.

OUR MISSION STATEMENTS

1. Encourage and promote excellence in design and craftsmanship in wood.
2. Educate the membership and the community about the profession and hobby of woodworking.
3. Engage in community service projects and programs related to woodworking.
4. Support efforts concerning the conservation of forests, wood, and wood products.
5. Serve as a clearing house for members and public information about wood, woodworking, and wood products.

Men's Shed is an international phenomenon with thousands of clubs worldwide. We answer men’s innate need for activity. Men’s Shed is a club, mainly for older guys. We have tools, and materials for pursuing our interests and passions, for learning something new and sharing skills. We join to make stuff and tinker. We share a pot of coffee in a friendly atmosphere. In the end, we make friends and discuss troubling health issues.
