I'm not sure if a Stool is actually a "Tool" but for this exercise I am making it so. For a few years now I have been using an old Bar Stool in my workshop beside my laptop computer. I use the stool enough for zoom meeting and just Internet browsing for information that it has become a mainstay in my workshop.
One of the features of this old stool is that it has some lower rungs that I sometimes try to stand on to reach things high up in my shop, like changing light bulbs or other audio wires or adjustments but never put full weight on the rungs as I don't trust them. What I need is a stool that can double as a small stepping stool as well ...

As a woodworker for a long, long time, I have a pretty good idea how long it should take to make most woodworking projects, at least within a certain time frame. Occasionally I am completely and utterly wrong!! and this plant stand was one of those harsh realities.
I happen to grow Orchids and have for a long time, I don't have many and they don't always get the care they need and they let me know that by NOT producing flowers. Three 4 of my collection are letting me know that, so I decided to make a quick little plant stand for them that I could put beside patio doors with lots of light for them. That was my first miscalculation ...

If you are newer to woodworking and are feeling a bit uneasy about installing Soft Close Full Extension Drawer Hardware, this article will show you a few tips along the way that will take away most of that doubt ... hopefully.
The first thing when installing drawers hardware is to either have the hardware in your hands or know for certain what the width of the hardware is, if any, because you will need to know this in order to construct the actual wooden drawers.

I have been putting of upgrading the temporary stand I made for my oscillating sander, for something like 10 years now. Time to get this thing made. During this time I have accumulated a decent amount of "spare" wood including Beech, Oak and Maple that I will be able to use in the making of this stand.
The current stand is all wasted space under the the actual sander, so I decide to install 3 drawers, which will still give me easy access under the sander for cleaning, and it will still allow the stand and sander to be somewhat mobile, but I am not going to install wheels.

Safely using a table saw is one of the cornerstones of woodworking, but for some who want to be woodworkers, this tool can be super scary to use, but they are not the only people who can be intimidated by these loud, dusty and powerful machines and that is why we can embrace options like Auto Cut, the a table saw wood feeder mechanism.
But ... there is much more to this newly developed machine in terms of uses, it may not fit everyone's needs but it will be a welcome addition to many woodworking shops ...
Woodworking Jigs & Safety: Magswitch Solutions

This quick video is primarily for the thousands of new subscribers to my YouTube channel who have not had a chance to see or understand what something called the "Magswitch" can do in their workshop. Basically it is a little adapter that can be used to turn a magnet on and off and thereby use it to attache jigs and safety equipment to anything with a steel base, like table saws, bandsaws and drill presses.
This is NOT a long article, instead, learning by seeing will be easiest so what I am trying out with this video is to provide "clips" of magswith uses in jigs and adapters so others can see visually what can be done ... And don't forget that these switches are currently ON SALE November 21 to 26 or 2023 only ... you can check out the discounts of 15% and up to 30% at this link - https://mag-tools.com/discount/COLIN_KNECHT
