I am actually using a mild citrus hand cleaner for cleaning blades. It is mild on hands so it should be fine for the blades as it is not caustic. Seems to work well too and it's cheap too.

What about good old WD40 ... it's what I use. Keeps the blades from rusting too, when you don't use them for a while.

I like using either automotive break cleaner or carburetor cleaner. They're basically the same thing, except carburetor cleaner has a lubricant in it.

I have also been told to soak the blades in Mean Green and it would cut the resins off . Now I've not tryed it yet , but this may be a cheaper way of cleaning the blades as well as router bits too .........Marshall

Wow! Glad I stumbled across this thread! Iread in a book that using oven cleaner was the way to go, but obviously not. Now I am Gonna try some of the forementioned. Thanks for posting that question.
