You start out a square block of hard wood 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

On your router table round over the edges using a 1"
round over router bit.

Now place the roller onto your lathe and finish turning the
block into a round shape.

Now on your lathe insert your drill chuck into the tailstock
and drill a 3/8" hole as far as the bit will drill.

Now place chuck up a Xtra Long 1/2" drill bit into your drill
press and redrill the hole.

Next take a V Block that has been cut on the table saw and place it on your drill press place the roller in it and drill a 1/8" hole all the way thru the roller and the rod and pin it together.

Now proceed to making the handle in the same method just do not pin it, once you finish the handle thread the rod and insert a nylon washer between the roller and the handle next place on the nut w/ the nylon insert after you wax the rod and inside of the handle.

You attach the sand paper using hook & loop using velcro.

You attach a drill to the 2" piece of rod that sticks out of the roller
